Job summary

Develop Health is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to turn complex healthcare problems into simple, reliable software. This is a hands-on role with ownership from understanding user needs through launch and production.

Together with Product, AI, and Operations, you'll build the systems that remove the obstacles between a prescription and treatment, from interfaces to services and AI-powered workflows. You will raise the bar for engineering with AI-native tools and practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to define system boundaries and weigh trade-offs.
• Direct collaboration with users to identify problems.
• Experience applying AI-powered workflows.

Responsibilities

• Turn ambiguous problems into the smallest useful solution with clear success metrics.
• Lead complex initiatives from discovery through launch.
• Ship backend services, UI, data models, integrations, and workflow infrastructure.
• Make architectural decisions and explain trade-offs clearly.
• Build testing, observability, and AI fallbacks into the product.
