Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join the hospital pharmacy team, performing dispensing, review and monitoring of medications across age groups to ensure safe, effective therapy.

You will supervise technicians and contribute to patient-focused care within a collaborative hospital setting. ACPE-accredited education and Georgia licensure upon hire are required, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Education

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required
