• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy for all age groups including dosing variations and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and monitors orders filled by support personnel; maintains competency and professional development.
• Performs patient-focused clinical activities to provide optimal medication therapy.

Required Hours: 2:30pm-11pm, 5 shifts per week, 8 hrs each. One weekend every 4th weekend (includes Sat and Sun) Two holidays per year on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
