Piedmont Healthcare, Inc. seeks a Staff Pharmacist (Specialty, PRN) at Piedmont Columbus Midtown. You will perform distribution, documentation and compounding to support patient care, and you will supervise technicians while ensuring safe medication use across all age groups.

The role requires graduation from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and GA licensure (PHARMD). Hospital experience is preferred, with no strict experience required.

Responsibilities

Staff Pharmacist, Specialty, PRN, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy Required
