Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team.

You will perform distribution, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medications across all age groups and supervise pharmacy technicians. This role emphasizes competency, professional development, and patient-focused care to ensure optimal medication therapy for infants to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy required.
• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff.
• Reviews, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients including dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states.
• Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
• Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.
