Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Mobile (App Infrastructure) to drive the shared mobile app platform. You will own technical strategy, partner with product/design/analytics, and raise the bar for reliability and performance across our React Native ecosystem.

You will lead architecture, tooling, and processes, while mentoring teams and ensuring robust observability, testing, and deployments. This is a remote-friendly role with strong collaboration across the US.

Qualifications

• 7+ years developing and architecting mobile applications
• 4+ years using React Native
• Experience with React Native SDK updates and native module work
• Experience with mobile testing and observability tooling
• Strong verbal and written communication across global teams

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a yearly horizon
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining technical solutions and operational processes
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness
• Foster quality and ownership through code review standards and tech talks
• Develop talent by mentoring and guiding team members
