Job summary

Affirm seeks a senior mobile engineer to own the technical strategy for the app infrastructure team. You will drive React Native development, collaborate with product and design, and raise the quality bar with code reviews and standards.

You will mentor engineers, manage on-call readiness, and shape the architecture of a high-traffic mobile platform with modern tooling and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile applications.
• 4+ years with React Native and Expo on production apps.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term technical strategy for the team aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk awareness.
• Define and promote technical solutions, processes, and on-call readiness.
• Lead code reviews and design standards across the team.
• Develop talent by giving feedback and mentoring engineers.
