Job summary

Affirm is pioneering a remote-first, consumer-friendly credit platform. You will lead mobile infrastructure initiatives, shaping architecture for a year-long horizon and ensuring alignment with product, design, and analytics.

The role emphasizes quality, ownership, and scalable operations for our React Native-based mobile ecosystem. You will mentor teammates, drive adoption of best practices, and guide the team through complex releases and RN SDK updates, while keeping up with native OS changes

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile apps.
• 4+ years using React Native and Expo.
• Proficient in Javascript/Typescript with native module expertise.
• Experience with complex state management and debugging RN JS-native boundary.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for the team on a yearly timescale.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics for sustainable tech solutions.
• Drive adoption of operating playbooks, monitoring, and on-call processes.
• Define coding and design standards and champion them across teams.
• Mentor engineers, provide feedback, and lead by example.
