Axon is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer for Communications Hardware in New York, NY. You will own the mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for rugged, wireless devices used by public safety professionals.

Collaborate with Industrial Design, EE, RF, Product Management and manufacturing to meet durability, thermal, EMI/EMC and certification requirements. Remote eligibility and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 12+ years mechanical product design experience.
• 5+ years technical leadership (leading 3+ engineers).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production.
• Balance durability, sealing, thermal, RF performance & manufacturability.
• Collaborate with ID, EE, RF, PM and manufacturing teams.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
