Job summary

Axon, a leader in public safety technology, seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of next‑generation, rugged, wireless hardware from concept to high‑volume production. This remote‑eligible role combines cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing readiness, and offers relocation assistance to US-based candidates.

You’ll partner with ID, EE, RF, PM, and manufacturing teams to balance durability, sealing, thermal management, and RF performance while ensuring

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience.
• 5+ years of technical leadership, including directing teams of 3+ engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production.
• Balance size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal and RF performance with manufacturability and cost.
• Lead electro-mechanical integration and validation (FEA, tolerance analysis, testing).
• Collaborate with ID, EE, RF, Product, and manufacturing teams to meet product goals.
• Support design reviews and translate requirements into verifiable engineering specs.
