Job summary

Axon is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of next-generation communications hardware. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with ID, EE, RF, PM, and manufacturing to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

You will drive designs from concept to mass production, shape mechanical verification plans, and mentor a team of engineers while balancing durability, RF performance, thermal management, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience in ruggedized devices.
• 5+ years of technical leadership experience, directing teams of 3+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production.
• Balance size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal, RF, manufacturability, and cost.
