Axon is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer, Communications Hardware to own the mechanical design and development of next-generation, mission-critical hardware from concept through high-volume production.

You will be a founding member of the Axon 911 hardware team, shaping technical foundations and engineering standards for compact, ruggedized, wireless devices used by public safety professionals in the field.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience for rugged hardware.
• 5+ years of technical leadership, directing 3+ mechanical engineers.
• Experience with plastic injection molding, die casting, machining, and assembly.

Aufgaben

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production.
• Balance size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal, and RF performance across designs.
• Collaborate with Industrial Design, Electrical, RF, PM and manufacturing teams.
• Validate designs via prototyping, FEA, tolerance analysis and testing.
