Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Communications Hardware to own the mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for rugged, wireless devices used by public safety professionals. This role offers global collaboration and significant ownership across the development lifecycle.

You will partner with ID, EE, RF, and manufacturing, drive DFM/DFA and validation, and support EVT/ DVT/ PVT activities while traveling domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience in ruggedized or portable electronics.
• Strong leadership experience guiding teams of 3+ mechanical engineers.
• Experience with DFM/DFA and high-volume manufacturing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for rugged, wireless hardware.
• Balance size, weight, durability, sealing, thermal, RF performance, manufacturability and cost.
