Job summary

Axon seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer, Communications Hardware to lead mechanical design from concept to high-volume production for rugged, wireless-connected devices used by public safety professionals.

You will collaborate with ID, EE, RF, PM and manufacturing, balancing durability, sealing, thermal, RF performance, and manufacturability while driving design decisions and validation across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mechanical product design experience in ruggedized hardware.
• 5+ years of technical leadership leading eng teams.
• Experience with mechanical design for high-volume manufacturing and certification.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical design from concept through high-volume production for rugged hardware.
• Collaborate with ID, EE, RF, PM and manufacturing to meet durability, sealing, RF, thermal, and ergonomic requirements.
• Drive DFM/DFA and production readiness with external vendors and internal teams.
