Job summary

CoreWeave, The Essential Cloud for AI, is seeking a senior storage engineer to design and implement distributed storage for AI workloads in Bellevue, WA. You will contribute to exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage, integrate storage clusters into diverse environments, and optimize with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and NFS/FUSE protocols.

You will lead reliability, durability, and observability improvements, partner with platform and operations teams, and mentor others on building

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production environments
• Proficiency with storage protocols (e.g. S3, NFS) and filesystems such as Ceph/DAOS
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust
• Experience using AI tools to augment software development
• Familiarity with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse)
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable architectures

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions to support scaling data intensive AI workloads
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters into diverse customer environments
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed filesystem protocols like NFS or FUSE to optimize storage performance and efficiency
• Lead efforts to improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of storage stack
• Collaborate with operations teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve storage systems in production environments
• Set the bar for developing metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into storage performance and health
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers on best practices in building distributed, high-performance systems
