Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an experienced Storage Engineer to design and optimize distributed storage for AI workloads. You will co‑lead the development of scalable, S3‑compatible object storage and integrate clusters across customer environments.

You will work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and NFS/FUSE, focusing on reliability, security, and observability while mentoring others and driving metrics across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Experience with storage protocols (S3, NFS) and file systems (Ceph, DAOS).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions for AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters.
• Optimize storage with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and distributed filesystems (NFS/FUSE).
• Improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of storage stack.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production storage systems.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor storage performance and health.
• Analyze telemetry to drive throughput, latency, and resilience improvements.
• Work cross-functionally across platform, product, and infra teams.
• Mentor engineers on best practices for high-performance distributed systems.
