Job summary

CoreWeave's Object Storage Team designs and implements distributed storage solutions to support scaling data‑intensive AI workloads. You will help develop exabyte‑scale, S3‑compatible storage and integrate dedicated storage clusters into diverse customer environments, collaborating across infrastructure, compute, and platform teams.

The role focuses on improving reliability, durability, security and observability of the storage stack, while optimizing throughput and latency with technologies

Qualifications

• Must have advanced degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Experience with storage protocols like S3/NFS and file systems such as Ceph/DAOS.
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust and in leveraging AI tooling to augment development.
• Familiarity with telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse).
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage to support scaling AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, NFS, and FUSE to optimize performance.
• Improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of the storage stack.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve storage systems.
• Set metrics and dashboards to provide storage visibility and health.
• Analyze telemetry to drive throughput and latency improvements.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices in distributed high-performance systems.
