Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an accomplished Storage Engineer to design and implement distributed storage solutions for AI workloads. You will contribute to exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate dedicated storage clusters into diverse customer environments.

You will work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and protocols like NFS and FUSE to optimize performance, while leading efforts to improve reliability and observability of the storage stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with object storage or distributed filesystems in production.
• Experience with storage protocols (e.g. S3, NFS) and file systems (Ceph, DAOS).
• Proficiency in Go, C, or Rust for systems programming.
• Familiarity with storage observability tools and telemetry pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse).
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement distributed storage solutions to support AI workloads.
• Develop exabyte-scale, S3-compatible object storage and integrate storage clusters.
• Work with RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, and NFS/FUSE protocols to optimize performance.
• Lead efforts to improve reliability, durability, security, and observability of storage stack.
• Collaborate with operations to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production storage systems.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into storage performance.
