Job summary

Nestlé Allentown is seeking a Staff Engineer to oversee capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, estimates, cost, resources and execution meet safety and production standards.

You will lead design and implementation of innovative projects, collaborate with associates and contractors, and drive factory performance while upholding Nestlé safety, health, and environmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development, implementation and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Prepare estimates, evaluate bids, award contracts and issue all documents and drawings for construction on assigned projects.
• Create concepts and designs in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary and budgetary procedures and specifications.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress against milestones and deliverables, and identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.
• Direct the installation and integration of new equipment as well as modifications and overhauls of existing equipment for assigned projects.
• Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting.
• Champion Nestlé safety, health, quality and environmental objectives and foster a work environment that enables our operations to perform among the safest companies in the marketplace
