Job summary

Nestlé Allentown is seeking a Staff Engineer to oversee capital projects from end to end, guiding concept, scope, estimates, cost and execution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead design and implementation of innovative projects, work with contractors, manage budgets, schedules and risk, and ensure safety, quality and efficiency to drive factory performance.

Bachelor’s in Engineering and 2+ years in manufacturing engineering are required; 1+ year of PM experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years in an engineering role within a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.
• 1+ year of technical project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development, implementation and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Prepare estimates, evaluate bids, award contracts and issue all documents and drawings for construction on assigned projects.
• Create concepts and designs in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary and budgetary procedures and specifications.
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress against milestones and deliverables, and identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.
• Direct the installation and integration of new equipment as well as modifications and overhauls of existing equipment for assigned projects.
• Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting.
