Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL or San Diego, CA seeks a Staff Engineer Electronics - Software Integration to lead software integration for Electronic Warfare and RF subsystems. The engineer will draft architectures, allocate requirements, verify interfaces, and collaborate across hardware, software, and firmware teams to meet platform mission objectives.
The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, active Top Secret SCI clearance, and up to 10% travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of related professional experience OR a Master's with 10 years OR PhD with 8 years.
- Experience in RF/EW applications including modeling with Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++.
- Active Top Secret SCI clearance and program access within reasonable time.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate software for Electronic Warfare and RF subsystems.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams across avionics and mission systems.
- Develop functional architectures, analyze performance, manage requirements and interfaces.
- Document designs with detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Support verification in digital simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
