Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer Electronics - Software Integration to join an interdisciplinary team in San Diego, CA or Melbourne, FL. You will develop software integration and test for Electronic Warfare subsystems, and work with EW suppliers to integrate multi-function RF systems.

The role requires a strong background in RF/EW applications, Matlab/Python/C/C++, and digital signal processing, with an active Top Secret SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with extensive related experience, or higher degrees with required years of experience.
• Experience in RF/EW applications and modelling in Matlab, Python, C/C++.
• Experience designing, integrating, and testing RF equipment for airborne platforms.
• Familiarity with RF sensing modalities and digital signal processing.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with program access within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software interfaces for Electronic Warfare subsystems.
• Translate customer requirements into software specifications and manage interfaces.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware engineers across teams.
• Develop and verify hardware/software interfaces in digital simulation and HWIL environments.
• Support algorithm development for system functionality and efficiency.
• Produce supplier documentation and review development artifacts.
• Document designs with detailed schematics and specifications.
• Contribute to HW integration and test to meet platform objectives.
