Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Engineer Electronics - Hardware Integration to join our team. Located in San Diego, CA or Melbourne, FL, you will contribute to HW subsystems, develop architectures, and verify requirements while collaborating with suppliers.

This role requires a TS/SCI clearance, hands-on experience with RF systems, and cross-disciplinary collaboration across hardware, software, and firmware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field plus extensive related experience
• Advanced knowledge of electromagnetics in RF spectrum (VHF–Ka)
• Experience designing and testing RF equipment for airborne platforms
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with SAP access if required

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into hardware specifications
• Integrate avionics and mission subsystems to meet objectives
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware engineers
• Develop supplier documentation and review supplier artifacts
• Document designs with detailed schematics and interfaces
• Support HW subsystems development and integration
• Perform functional and performance analyses
• Conduct trade studies and requirements flow-down
