Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Engineer Electronics - Software Integration to join an interdisciplinary team. Location options include San Diego, CA or Melbourne, FL, with travel up to 10%.
The role develops software integration and test for EW subsystems and coordinates with EW suppliers to meet mission objectives. The engineer will analyze performance, manage requirements, and verify allocated interfaces, while supporting real-time systems and hardware-in-the-loop
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
- Experience in RF/EW apps with MATLAB/Python/C/C++, and algorithm development.
- Active Top Secret SCI clearance or ability to obtain within reasonable time.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into software specifications for RF/EW systems.
- Integrate avionics and mission subsystems to meet platform objectives.
- Collaborate across hardware, software, and firmware teams on EW algorithms.
- Develop and verify requirements, interfaces, and system performance.
- Document designs and support HW/SW integration and testing.
- Contribute to supplier documentation and technical evaluations.
