Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Engineer Subsystems Aeronautical Design to join our team in Palmdale, CA, San Diego, CA, and other listed locations. You will lead aircraft subsystem development from concept to integration and sustainment, acting as SME for a diverse team and delivering technical briefings to leadership.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive aerospace design experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Science/Engineering or Math with extensive aerospace experience.
• MS in STEM with related experience or PhD with fewer years.
• Proven experience leading a system’s development from concept to sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Create hydraulic and electrical schematics for subsystems and integrate components.
• Lead trade studies, layout development, and architecture definition.
• Develop system test plans and verify against requirements; support airworthiness criteria.
• Provide technical guidance to a multidisciplinary team and present to senior leadership.
