Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer – Vehicle Subsystems & Integration to lead design, analysis and integration of electrical and hydraulic systems for aircraft programs. This role may be located in Palmdale, OK, MO, or San Diego and requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Secret clearance. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, perform system-level trades, and deliver technical briefings to senior leadership, ensuring airworthiness through cradle-to-grave

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 12 years of related experience; OR Master's with 10 years; OR PhD with 8 years.
• Proven experience leading a system’s development from concept to sustainment.
• Demonstrated project management capabilities.
• Experience acting as a SME for an engineering team of 3+ members.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with a track record of complex problem solving.
• Proven ability to present technical briefings to senior executives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create hydraulic and electrical schematics; select components and conductors.
• System Engineering: Lead trade studies, layout, architecture, testing and verification.
• Leadership & Communication: Serve as SME for multidisciplinary teams and present to senior leadership.
