Job summary

Slate is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to set the technical direction for building, running, and operating Slate’s infrastructure. You will lead architecture and hands-on delivery across a hybrid Kubernetes platform spanning Amazon EKS and self-managed clusters.

You’ll own reliability, on-call practices, and scalable CI/CD patterns, collaborating with Digital, Data Engineering, IT, Manufacturing Systems and Security.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
10+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering with technical direction experience.
Experience designing production platforms and multi-account AWS environments.

Responsibilities

Architect the Hybrid Kubernetes Platform across Amazon EKS and self-managed clusters.
Set the direction for the AWS foundation including multi-account governance and IAM.
Build and mature reliability practices: on-call, SLOs, incident response and blameless postmortems.
Enable teams with CI/CD templates, reusable infrastructure libraries, and self-service environments.
