Job summary

Slate is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and operate the hybrid Kubernetes platform that supports our digital, data, manufacturing and enterprise teams. You will own provisioning, upgrades and day-two operations across a multi-account AWS setup and self-managed clusters.

You’ll partner with Digital, Data Engineering and other teams to deliver environments, access and pipelines, and drive CI/CD, GitOps, and automated tooling to reduce toil while improving reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, site reliability, platform or infra engineering with production scope.
• Hands-on AWS experience: IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate hybrid Kubernetes platform across multi-account AWS and self-managed clusters.
• Develop Python-based infrastructure with AWS CDK for networking, IAM, DNS, compute, storage.
• Own CI/CD workflows, GitHub Actions, container builds and GitOps deployments to Kubernetes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and postmortems, maintain dashboards and alerts.
