Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the Fraud Decisioning team, building scalable tools to evaluate risk and empower cross-functional partners across Product, ML, Analytics and Business units. You will mentor engineers, drive architecture, and ensure reliable delivery on large initiatives.

You will lead designs, code review, and hiring processes, shaping the technical roadmap while balancing speed and quality in a remote-first environment with flexible in-person onboarding.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining complex systems.
• Ability to work with Product, ML, Analytics and Business teams.

Responsibilities
