Affim is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the Fraud Decisioning team's projects and initiatives. You will build tools and systems to empower fraud fighting, collaborating with Product, ML, Analytics, and Business teams to monitor and improve decision quality.

You’ll plan, design, and deliver large-scale initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure solutions are robust and well-documented, with a focus on ownership and collaboration across teams.

Formación

• 6–10+ years of software engineering with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience architecting and maintaining complex systems.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, ML, analytics, and business teams.
• Technical leader capable of mentoring engineers and driving ownership.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute large cross-functional initiatives, including definition, specs, task breakdown, delivery, monitoring and maintenance.
• Write high-quality, deployable code and design simple, elegant solutions while anticipating failure modes.
• Review others’ work and provide constructive feedback to maintain quality standards.
• Lead and mentor engineers to grow their skills and own their components.
