Affirm is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead projects on the Fraud Decisioning team. You’ll build tools and systems that empower fraud fighting capabilities, work with cross-functional teams to adopt and monitor those and use analytics and data driven decisions to further improve the performance and quality of fraud deciders.

Base pay ranges and total compensation are described, with remote-first flexibility and a competitive package including equity and benefits.

Formación

• 6–10+ years as software engineer with leadership and mentoring experience.
• Experience architecting and maintaining complex systems.
• Ability to work with Product, ML, Analytics and Business teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute large cross-functional initiatives from definition to maintenance.
• Generate simple, elegant designs that are easily deployed and debuggable.
• Review others’ work to maintain high quality across teams.
• Lead and mentor engineers to help them succeed and grow.
• Incorporate stakeholder needs and advocate for ideas with clear communication.
• Conduct technical and soft-skill evaluations to inform hiring decisions.
