Job summary

Compass is hiring a Security Engineer to own the security of AI features across our real estate platform. You will partner with AI platform and product teams to define secure-by-default standards, perform threat modeling, and build production guardrails for LLM inputs and outputs while protecting data and privacy.

You will drive secure AI practices, implement telemetry for abuse detection, and guide engineering on risk-informed decisions at scale, ensuring compliance with enterprise security

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, with focus on AI/LLM security.
• End-to-end security of production AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with adversarial ML, prompt injection, data exfiltration risks.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap and define secure-by-default patterns.
• Conduct threat modeling for new AI features and RAG pipelines.
• Build real-time protections for LLM inputs/outputs and data retention controls.
• Design blast-radius controls for autonomous agents and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Harden the AI supply chain and enforce data access controls across retrieval layers.
• Instrument telemetry for AI abuse, anomalous tool usage, and exfiltration patterns.
• Create reusable secure AI libraries and CI/CD checks.
• Advise on AI architecture decisions and translate risk into roadmaps.
