Job summary

Compass, Inc. is embedding generative AI securely across its end-to-end real estate platform. You will own the security of AI surfaces, define architecture, and partner with AI and product teams to ensure safe model usage, retrieval, and tool invocation in production.

The role emphasizes building automated protections, threat modeling, and secure-by-default patterns, with a focus on privacy, data retention, and compliance in a scale-driven real estate tech environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, with 2+ years focused on AI/LLM security.
• Experience securing production AI/ML systems end to end, including deployment and runtime.
• Hands-on red teaming experience addressing adversarial ML and prompt injection.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap and multi-year vision.
• Drive threat modeling for AI features, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent workflows.
• Build production guardrails for LLM inputs/outputs and data exfiltration checks.
• Design autonomy controls with scoped permissions and human-in-the-loop checks.
• Secure the retrieval layer and enforce data access controls across systems.
• Harden the AI supply chain with third-party model providers and data terms.
• Instrument detections and telemetry for AI abuse and anomalous tool use.
• Automate secure AI patterns with reusable libraries and CI/CD checks.
• Advise engineers and executives on AI risk and architecture decisions.
