Job summary

Compass is seeking a security-focused engineer to own the AI product security roadmap and ensure safe deployment of AI features across the Real Estate platform. You will lead threat modeling, architectural reviews, and implement real-time protections for LLM inputs and outputs, with a focus on secure tool invocation and data privacy.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in security, strong AI risk experience, and hands-on security pipelines in cloud environments (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering, with 2+ years focused on AI/ML or LLM application security.
• Demonstrated experience securing a production AI or ML system end to end.
• Hands-on red teaming experience with adversarial ML and LLM risks.
• Strong fundamentals in cloud security, IAM, Kubernetes, API security, and DevSecOps.
• Experience threat modeling complex distributed systems and driving remediation.
• Ability to translate AI risk into business impact for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap and multi-year vision.
• Drive threat modeling and architectural reviews for AI features and pipelines.
• Build real-time protections for LLM inputs/outputs and data egress checks.
• Design controls for autonomous agents, permissions, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Secure the retrieval layer and data access controls across RAG/vector stores.
• Harden the AI supply chain, including third-party models and providers.
• Develop detections and telemetry for AI abuse and anomalous behavior.
• Create reusable secure AI patterns via libraries and CI/CD checks.
