Compass is embedding generative AI into its real estate platform and seeks a security-focused engineer to own the AI surface security. You will define threat models, implement production guardrails, and ensure safe tool-invocation across AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with AI platform and product teams to raise security standards across the stack. The role emphasizes hands-on security engineering, strong Python or Go coding, and the ability to translate AI risk into actionable roadmaps

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security engineering
• 2+ years focused on AI/ML or LLM security
• Hands-on red teaming experience
• Experience securing production AI/ML systems
• Experience threat modeling complex distributed systems
• Strong communication translating AI risk to leadership

Responsibilities

• Own the AI product security roadmap.
• Threat model AI capability builds.
• Build production guardrails for AI protections.
• Constrain autonomy with blast-radius controls and audits.
• Secure the retrieval layer and data access.
• Harden the AI supply chain and data handling.
• Instrument detections for AI abuse and data exfiltration.
• Automate secure AI patterns via libraries and CI/CD.
• Advise on AI architecture translating risk into roadmaps.
