Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit close to customers and code. You’ll compress the distance between a problem and a working solution, delivering real software rather than decks or specs.

Expect autonomy, ambiguity, and a direct impact on how AI shows up across Pearson. You’ll work with stakeholders across lines of business, build production AI apps, and own frontend, backend, data, integration, and observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering with production systems.
• Solid CS fundamentals, data structures, and system design.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is, work directly with stakeholders to design end-to-end systems.
• Conduct real discovery by observing users and translating insights into a buildable solution.
• Ship production AI applications using frontier LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Own the full stack—from frontend to data, deployment, and observability.
