Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer who works directly with customers, designs and ships software end-to-end, and operates autonomously in ambiguous environments. You will embed with business lines to drive AI adoption and deliver working software that addresses real problems.

Responsibilities include discovering user needs, building production AI applications, and owning the full stack from frontend to deployment.

Qualifications

8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.
Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design.
Frontend depth with React/TypeScript and modern component architecture.
Backend depth: Node.js, Java, Python, API design, auth and error handling.

Responsibilities

Go where the problem is by working with internal stakeholders and building end-to-end systems.
Conduct real discovery by observing users, asking questions, and translating needs into work.
Build production AI applications on frontier LLMs, agents, and related tooling.
Own full stack: frontend, backend, data, integrations, deployment, observability.
Iterate across multiple engagements with reusable patterns and templates.
Maintain relationships with lines of business through project lifecycles.
