Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer to embed with internal lines of business, turning ambiguous needs into working software. You will operate autonomously, ship production AI applications, and own frontend, backend, data, and deployments.

You will work closely with stakeholders, design end-to-end solutions, and iterate across engagements to deliver measurable results. This role requires strong full-stack skills and AI tooling experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals, data structures, and system design.
• Frontend: modern React with TypeScript and component architecture.
• Backend: Node.js, Python, API design and auth handling.
• Experience shipping LLMaps or AI-enabled applications.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI-enabled applications with frontline stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery with users and translate needs into working software.
• Ship production software on frontier LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Own full stack, deployment, observability, and live URLs.
• Iterate quickly across engagements and maintain owner accountability.
