Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer to work closely with internal stakeholders and deliver production AI software in real environments. You will compress the distance between need and action, shipping working software that directly addresses real problems.

You will embed with business lines to drive AI adoption, own the full stack, and iterate rapidly across engagements, building impactful solutions on frontier LLMs and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals; able to discuss data structures and system design.
• Frontend depth with React and TypeScript.
• Backend depth in Node.js, Java, and Python; API design and auth.
• Production LLM experience and AI-driven product delivery.
• Data fluency and cloud deployment proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is; design end-to-end systems with stakeholders.
• Conduct real discovery by sitting with users and translating needs into buildables.
• Build working software during conversations, not just wireframes.
• Handle messy inputs and turn them into coherent solutions.
• Ship production AI applications on frontier LLMs and related tech.
• Own the full stack from frontend to deployment and observability.
