Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) lead to oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous reliability improvements.

You will design monitoring, observability, and runbooks while driving automation across CI/CD pipelines and IaC. This role demands strong leadership across SRE, DevOps, and production support teams to reduce outages and improve platform availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six to eight years of relevant work experience in IT service management, production support, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and mitigation planning.
• Design monitoring, observability, dashboards and runbooks.
• Drive automation via IaC, CI/CD, scripting, and self-healing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to remediate reliability issues.
• Act as Incident Commander during major incidents and supervise response.
• Provide leadership and workload management for SRE/DevOps teams.
• Use metrics (MTTR, SLA, incident counts) to drive improvements.
