Job summary

Bank of America seeks an IKCP Site Reliability Engineer Lead to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of the enterprise IKCP. You will drive automation, incident response, capacity planning, and platform governance across OpenShift, Kubernetes, Rancher, and related services.

You will partner with engineering, security, and product teams to deliver a reliable platform-as-a-product experience for developers, with a focus on SLOs, runbooks, and proactive remediation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 5+ years managing Kubernetes and/or OpenShift production environments.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems in enterprise.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments with 24x7 responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Development and Infrastructure teams to implement monitoring capabilities outlined by SRE stakeholders.
• Develop reliability scripts, tools and libraries and mentor SRE resources on reliability practices.
• Promotes code changes to use common reliability libraries and helps teams understand usage.
• Participates in architecture community of practice and cross-team communication.
• Identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities for reliability improvement and reduces manual effort.
• Engages in major incident triage and failure scenario modelling with Problem Manager.
