Job summary

NationsBenefits is seeking a Manager of Site Reliability Engineering to lead a US-based SRE team and drive operational excellence across production platforms. This player-coach role blends people leadership with hands-on technical direction, teaching best practices during major incidents and steady-state operations.

You will mentor engineers, own incident response, and collaborate with global teams to embed reliability into the SDLC while aligning with healthcare and fintech compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 1–2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
• Hands-on incident management and escalation experience.
• Strong observability with Datadog or similar tools.
• Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, Java, or C#.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation knowledge.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with SQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a US-based SRE team.
• Own incident response, on-call, and postmortems.
• Drive reliability improvements and automation across platforms.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and security teams.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST.
