Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer Lead to ensure reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational excellence of the IKCP platform. You will drive automation, observability, incident management, capacity planning, and governance across OpenShift, Kubernetes, Rancher, and VKS services.

You will partner with Engineering, Architecture, Product Management, Security, Infrastructure, and Central Operations to deliver a platform-as-a-product experience

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or SRE.
• 5+ years managing Kubernetes and/or OpenShift production environments.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with 24x7 enterprise production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own platform reliability objectives and on-call readiness.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and problem management.
• Act as senior escalation point for L3 platform support.
• Develop runbooks, recovery procedures and SOPs.
• Drive platform upgrades, patching, and release orchestration.
• Improve scalability, performance and resource utilization.
• Design enterprise observability using monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting.
• Automate with IaC, GitOps, CI/CD, and scripting.
• Support security controls and compliance governance.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, engineering and ops teams.
