Axon’s APX platform engineering team in Seattle seeks a seasoned engineer to advance real-time, cloud-native networking solutions. You’ll influence service mesh deployment, scale globally, and safeguard systems under FedRAMP and other regulations.

Qualifications

• CJIS clearance to access US production.
• Experience with globally diverse 24/7 high-volume systems.
• Strong networking knowledge, infrastructure and services.
• Proven problem-solving for cloud-native distributed systems.
• Familiarity with GitOps for software delivery.
• Experience delivering infrastructure-as-code on public cloud (Azure).
• Experience operating Kubernetes at scale.
• Proficient in Python, Golang, or Scala/Java.
• Empathy to support engineers with varying networking awareness.

Responsibilities

• Work on networking-related Axon systems.
• Contribute to Istio service mesh adoption.
• Build and operate features while maintaining FedRAMP compliance and vulnerability management.
• Advise engineers on networking during reviews.
• Automate cloud platform maintenance for high availability (4x9s). TLS automation.
