Job summary

Alpha is launching a brand-new Springfield campus and seeking a dynamic School Director to lead 15+ Guides, coach teams, and drive student outcomes through our EdTech platform. This is a leadership-forward role with no classroom instruction, focused on execution, culture, and data-driven growth.

You will oversee campus operations, talent, and product alignment, ensuring every student loves school, learns rapidly, and develops essential life skills from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people.
• Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5-14.
• Strong data analysis skills and data-driven decision-making.
• Startup mindset; thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, capable of building systems from scratch.
• Compelling and energetic speaker with room presence.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Alpha's three promises: every student loves school, learns twice as fast, and masters life skills — at a brand-new Springfield campus from day one.
• Launch our Springfield, MA location and deliver Alpha's three promises to 100+ students with operational excellence.
• Lead live workshops with K-8 students teaching life skills and follow Alpha's playbook to ensure engagement and skill mastery.
• Motivate every student to achieve targets using data-driven methods and personalized motivational models.
• Coach Guides to excellence, enforce quality standards, and track improvements, making tough calls when needed.
• Make data-driven campus leadership decisions by analyzing performance across staff, operations, parent communication, and culture.
