Job summary

Alpha is opening a Springfield, MA campus and seeks a leader who understands this city's educational challenges firsthand. You will lead a team of 15+ Guides who coach and motivate students while Alpha's EdTech delivers all instruction. No teaching, all leadership.

Your job is to enforce rigorous standards, make data‑informed decisions, and build Springfield's best school from the ground up. From day one, deliver on Alpha's promises to 100+ students, drive outcomes through data, and sustain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master's preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5 - 14.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.
• Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention from rooms full of students or staff.
• Able to relate to K-8 students, understand their interests and culture, and serve as a positive role model.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Launch Alpha's Springfield, MA campus: From day one, deliver Alpha's three promises to 100+ students with operational excellence across all functions.
• Facilitate live life-skills workshops for K-8 students: Lead engaging one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and giving and receiving feedback.
• Drive every student to 100% goal achievement: Develop individualized motivational approaches for each student.
• Coach Guides to excellence and maintain Alpha's quality standards: Leverage data to pinpoint performance gaps, provide actionable feedback, and monitor progress.
• Lead campus operations through data-driven decision-making: Evaluate performance across staffing, operations, parent engagement, and culture.
