Job summary

Alpha seeks a results-driven School Director to launch and lead Springfield campus. You will oversee 15+ Guides, enforce high standards, and use data to build the campus from the ground up. You will not teach; you will lead, coach, and optimize operations to deliver Alpha’s promises from day one.

This full-time role demands startup mindset, 7+ years in education or related fields, and deep knowledge of the Springfield education landscape. Compensation is $200,000 annually with day-one benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field. Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Proven track record building and leading teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5 – 14.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Launch Alpha’s Springfield campus: Ensure core promises are delivered to 100+ students from day one with operational excellence.
• Facilitate life-skills workshops for K-8 students: Lead sessions on public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange.
• Drive 100% goal attainment: Develop personalized motivational strategies and use data-driven methods to sustain engagement with the Alpha platform.
• Develop Guides through coaching and uphold performance standards: Use data to spot deficiencies, give feedback, and monitor progress.
• Lead the campus using data-informed decision-making: Evaluate staffing, operations, parent relations, culture; perform root cause analysis and implement interventions.
