Job summary

Alpha is launching a new Springfield, MA campus and seeks a School Director who will lead a 15+ person Guides team and drive performance using data. You will not teach; you will lead, enforce standards, and build a strong school culture from the ground up.

Your mission is to ensure every student loves school, learns at an accelerated pace, and develops essential life skills, while managing staffing, operations, and stakeholder relations with a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related field.
• Proven track record building and leading teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• Deep knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5–14.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision-making.
• Startup mindset and ability to build systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Launch Springfield campus with operational excellence for 100+ students from day one.
• Facilitate live life-skills workshops for K-8 students: Lead sessions on public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange.
• Drive every student toward 100% goal attainment: Develop personalized motivational strategies and use data-driven methods.
• Develop Guides through coaching and uphold performance standards: Use data to spot deficiencies and provide feedback.
• Lead the campus using data-informed decision-making: Evaluate staffing, operations, parent relations, and culture; implement interventions.
