Job summary

Alpha seeks a Head of School to open and lead a new Springfield campus, overseeing 15+ Guides and leveraging its EdTech platform to drive high-impact outcomes. The role emphasizes data-grounded decisions, rigorous standards, and live leadership over education execution.

The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day campus operations, coach staff for peak performance, and ensure engaging, growth-oriented experiences for K-8 students, with a focus on measurable outcomes and rapid school launch

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement; Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or related field.
• Experience building and leading teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• In-depth knowledge of the Springfield, MA education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages 5–14.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to use metrics for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable, able to build systems from scratch.
• Engaging and dynamic speaker who can captivate students or staff.

Responsibilities

• Launch the Springfield, MA campus: execute core promises for 100+ students from day one, ensuring operational excellence.
• Facilitate live workshops teaching life skills to K-8 students: public speaking, growth mindset, feedback skills, using Alpha playbook.
• Drive students to reach goals: create personalized motivational strategies and data-driven engagement with Alpha platform.
• Coach Guides to high performance and uphold Alpha’s quality standards: use data to spot issues, provide feedback, and monitor progress.
• Lead campus operations using data: evaluate performance across team, operations, parent engagement, and campus culture, implement improvements.
