Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and lead end-to-end Sales Performance Management solutions. You will drive discovery, define the functional architecture, and guide implementation across the SPM portfolio, including compensation, planning, territory, and enablement, in a hands-on, billable capacity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience implementing, designing, or consulting on SPM, ICM, or related sales tech solutions with demonstrable solution architecture or lead functional design.
• Deep functional expertise across the SPM domain and ability to design cross‑product solutions on Salesforce.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into well‑architected solutions with strong analytical and process design skills.
• Advanced ability to model complex incentive, compensation, and planning logic in formulas or Excel and on the platform.
• Data concepts and collaboration with Technical Architects without requiring software development background.
• Executive-level communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to scope, define, and manage work packages and support pre‑sales qualification.
• Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced team members.
• Based in the US or Canada with regional travel availability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customer stakeholders to understand objectives and define SPM solution vision, roadmap, and expectations.
• Lead discovery and design workshops; architect and document end-to-end functional solution across SPM suite.
• Translate strategy into a well‑architected Salesforce-based solution with modules like Maps, Planning, Spiff, and Territories.
• Own functional design and configuration leadership across SPM suite, including commission plans and territory management.
• Apply AI-powered SPM capabilities to accelerate delivery and maximize value.
• Define blueprint, best practices, and design standards; govern scope and quality.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to align design with integrations and data.
• Mentor team members; champion reusable assets and standards.
• Advise customers on operating model, adoption, and best practices.
• Contribute to proposals, staffing, and SOWs; support pre‑sales activities and POCs.
